A Weekend of Handstands!
October 13th & 14th, 12.30-3.30pm, 2018

Trained by yogis, acroyogis, master acrobats, circus performers and professional handbalancers, Ebony and Scott's background in the art of handstanding and inversions is multidimensional . We blend together the key elements from these various teachings to create a comprehensive understanding into what it takes to build a holistic, functional and sustainable inversion with the effective use of warm ups, breath and body mechanics.
Over the weekend we’ll fully immerse in the handstand journey, providing you with key drills, calibrations and prep positions to achieve a unified body and effective handstand shape. We’ll zoom in on details such as:
- Correct alignment - building your handstand from fingertips to feet.
- Finding strength in your body position.
- Training exercises
- Functional technique and
- Discovering the balance point.
We’ll explore and touch on various handstand pathways including scissor up, tuck-up and straddle-up as well as working with our shape via other key inversions such as headstand and forearm stand.
By the completion of the weekend, we aim to have you walking away with the confidence to begin, or continue, on your handstand journey with the confidence and knowledge to make it a reality.
