January 4 - 8, 2019
This one is for all the intrepid movers out there.
5 days in the stunningly beautiful Tasmanian Tarkine Coast where we will explore and move, discovering the landscape in fluid, creative and unexpected ways. From yoga and acroyoga, to natural and functional movement and wild connection. This is true immersion and movement in nature.
We will set off from the remote outpost of Corrinna in Tasmania's northwest. We will venture up the Pieman River by boat to the Tarkine Coast where we will then hike north for 1 day, carrying our own packs, food and tents, along one of the most beautifully raw and wild coastlines in the world, breathing in literally the cleanest air on the planet. We will set up camp next to a fresh water river that will supply our drinking water. For the next three days we will explore and move in the the landscape. On the beaches, the rocks, on the washed up logs, across the dunes, the rivers and creeks and ocean. We will yoga, we will acro, we will swim, we will explore natural and functional movement in the natural world, we will shout at the stars and tell stories. It might be windy, it might be rainy, it may be beautifully sunny, it will probably be all three in one day. On day 5, we hike south, and return down the stunning Pieman River.
We will have a tarp covered hang out area to eat and drink tea under. We will provide a drop toilet, river transport, saftety equipment, and movement classes and experiences throughout the days. You will bring your food, a tent, headtorches, snacks and appropriate clothes. We will learn, move, discover, and play in the stunning Tarkine Coast.
