Byron Bay Acro Flyaway

5 days of Training, connection and discovery in the Hinterland of Byron Bay.  

Our Byron Bay Acro Flyaway is the opportunity to dive into intensive training in Acroyoga, Partner Acrobatics, Yoga, Thai massage and natural movement in a beautiful, nature rich location.  

Co-founders of Threads, Ebony Prins & Scott Cashins, pull together teachers from around Australia to create a culmination of high intensity, skill based training and an invitation towards being a fully embodied human.  

This years Byron Flyaway will host Australia's phenomenal hand balance Queen; the delightful Alex Mizzen. Get ready for some intensive and technical training in your handsatnd practice as well as expanding your movement vocabulary as Alex shares some of her creative inspiration from years of professional performance and teaching.

We will also be joined by Gopala Amir Yaffa & Angel Yaffa from Rainbow Yoga; global pioneers of super fun community Yoga, Thai massage, and Tantra. Angel & Gopala will awaken your senses and souls to the beauty, love and FUN of being embodied and are our hosts for an evening of Bodywork & Dessert during this years Flyaway.  

Ebony & Scott will do what they do best and deliver copious amounts of Acrobatic goodness including super fun washing machines, whips, pops, standing acro, hand to hand, and trios, together with plenty of soul nourishing movement and play along with therapeutic elements of Yoga, connection and Natural movement.  In true Threads style be ready for some added extras and surprises as you embark on this experience of  discovering the inner and outer landscapes of life.

 With at least 7 hours of daily instruction you'll dive deep into the various worlds of Acroyoga, partner acrobatics, hand balancing and therapeutics. 

Our adventure takes place in the lush hills on a secluded property in the Hinterland of Byron Bay, complete with large indoor training space, river, pool, natural hot-tub and more. Be ready to train, play hard, and explore.

We do require you to have some experience before enrolling.

You should be able to comfortably move through the following skills as a base OR flyer without a spotter helping (a spotter for safety is ok)

  • Star
  • Side Star
  • Shoulder Stand (flyers hands on bases arms)
  • Cartwheel into hanging bat
  • Thighstand
